Recruiting Fellow

Sitka, AK | September 2025 – May 2026

This position is part of the Alaska Fellows Program. The Sitka fellows cohort of seven lives together, “in community,” in a shared house near downtown Sitka.

The Recruiting Fellow plays a vital role in ensuring that students from across Alaska—and beyond—learn about and can access an Outer Coast education. Recruiting at Outer Coast is grounded in authentic relationship-building, supported by organizational systems and structures that are implemented with both precision and agility. This position involves travel throughout the state of Alaska (and beyond) and requires thoughtful engagement with prospective students, families, and educators.

Social-Emotional Support Lead

Sitka, AK

We seek a Social-Emotional Support Lead to head up our work to provide students with the resources — social-emotional, intellectual, and relational — they need in order to make the most of their time in Sitka. The Social-Emotional Support Lead will be the cornerstone for student guidance and resources, ensuring students thrive across all three pillars of the program. This role places particular emphasis on fostering students’ social-emotional health and overall wellbeing, recognizing these as essential foundations for academic success, personal growth, and community engagement. Throughout the academic year, with the support of our other passionate staffulty, you’ll navigate with students through their triumphs and tribulations.
